We created the Alpine Retreat Salzkammergut because we ourselves love places where you immediately feel at home: in nature, in the quiet and with yourself.
We are Laura & Simon, and we personally run Alpine Retreat. With great attention to detail, high standards of quality and the desire to offer you a getaway that feels special from start to finish.
A place for a true getaway
Our property offers two independent retreats:
- Panorama Chalet – exclusive, spacious and for up to 6 people
- Panorama Garden Suite – stylish and cosy for up to 4 guests
Both can be booked individually or together.
With attention to detail
Alpine warmth meets modern architecture: reclaimed wood, natural stone, generous glass surfaces and high-quality craftsmanship create spaces that don’t have to be loud to stand out.
This includes our lovingly designed wellness & relaxation garden:
- Outdoor sauna with infrared function
- Green garden relaxation area
- Yoga & meditation area
- lovingly designed family area with in-ground trampoline
Everything is designed so you can sit back and simply be.

For us, it’s not about packing as much as possible into a single day of your holiday.

How it all began...
Step by step, a simple idea became Alpine Retreat.
We wanted to create a place where nature, architecture and a genuine sense of wellbeing come together.
Our Panorama Chalet came first – with its six-metre-high glass façade, reclaimed wood, natural stone and open architecture that brings the landscape into the home.
Later, the Panorama Garden Suite was added: independent, stylish and created with the same attention to detail.
Today, both units share one common vision:
Creating a place you love to visit—and love returning to even more.
